Recognising that contaminated sites are not just a closure issue, GRM has developed a training session to ensure that mining companies are aware of their contaminated sites investigation, reporting and management obligations during all phases of the mine life cycle.
This in-person or online 1 – 1.5 hr training session covers:
- Relevant principles, regulations, and guidelines
- Contaminated sites assessment process
- Contaminated sites management strategies for mine sites
Key objectives of this training program are to:
- Provide an overview of the components of the contaminated sites assessment process and obligations under statutory instruments and associated regulations
- Facilitate an understanding of the contaminated sites investigation workflow and timelines
- Present strategies for mine sites to identify their site contamination risks and effectively manage their obligations throughout the mining life-cycle.
